Boys Can Wear Pink

teaser

I jump at any chance I get to sew for my boys.  I’ve enjoyed following the  Boys Can Wear Pink Tour from Handmade Boy the past two years so I’m really excited to be joining in this year!  Make sure you enter the giveaway at the end of the post too!  Lots of awesome goodies coming your way.

This little guy was focusing on colors in preschool and was supposed to dress in the appropriate color each day.  It was another perfect excuse to sew up some pink!

My boys are very picky and I don’t sew for them much because of it.  This guy had to pick out the fabric and every detail of the hoodie.  There’s a reason you don’t see him on the blog more even if he does look darn cute when it’s all said and done.  He definitely turned on the model charm for this quick shoot!

I used the Jolly Roger Raglan and Add-on pack for this cute hoodie.  I did the cross-over hood option.  The Jolly Roger is my go-to for this boy.  I love the fit and the add-on options make it so much fun.  I used my favorite french terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics for the main and a remnant of athletic fabric from Hobby Lobby for the hood.  He was very specific and if it was going to be pink it better be neon!

My new Silhouette machine I got for Christmas has been getting a workout lately.  I love, love, love it!  It’s so fun being able to really personalize our clothes.  I love when my kids come up with an idea or saying and just like that we can slap it on a tee!  I’m an 80’s kid and this ‘Stay Rad’ just fit with this sweatshirt.  It was a simple design to make and really makes this top, like, totally wicked dude!

I’m sorry my kid is so much cooler than me.  I’m pretty darn lucky I get to hang out with this stud everyday.  He’s such a sweetheart and mama’s boy that I think my heart will break when I send him off to school everyday this fall.  It’s so much fun having a little buddy to hang out with!
